Risk factors
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing. In particular:
- Market risk: the value of your units can rise or fall with the prices of the securities the scheme holds.
- No guaranteed returns: mutual fund schemes do not assure or guarantee any returns, and there is no assurance that a scheme's objective will be achieved.
- Past performance: past performance of any scheme may or may not be sustained in future.
- Interest rate and credit risk: debt schemes can lose value when interest rates rise or when an issuer fails to pay.
- Liquidity risk: some securities may be hard to sell quickly, which can affect redemptions.
- Costs: check the exit load and total expense ratio (TER) that apply when you invest. Every scheme offers a direct plan with a lower expense ratio; we deal in regular plans only and earn commission on them.
Full risk factors for each scheme are in its Scheme Information Document (SID), Statement of Additional Information (SAI) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM), available on the SEBI website and on each fund house's website.
Your money
Every investment is made directly in your own name with the fund house, insurer or issuer. We never accept cash, and you should never transfer money to an individual's account.
